I can see how it is "Adapt and win. Ignore your surroundings, stay the same and die." I would change "and die" to possibly die. We are more dangerous to sharks than they are to us. If we keep hunting them or accidentally kill them with nets that were not meant for them, then their population would decrease. However, we can conclude that the family and relatives of sharks did outlive dinosaurs from comparing the oldest fossils found of a dinosaurs which is up to 243 million years ago to the facts in this article about fossils up to 440 million years ago for sharks. The sharks could even adapt to different foods if needed.
