Here are some thoughts on our weekly schedule. Please comment to
this post with any thoughts or questions. I'd like to fine-tune and
ratify this with everyone by Friday, September 13.
Each
day will have a little bit of everything for everyone (and literature,
and logic/rhetoric, etc.), but on each day of the week I propose that we
reserve 10-15 minutes of the period for these specific purposes:
Mindful Monday
(sink in with extra minute/s of mindfulness; set intentions for the week, read lit analysis books, write)
Techie Tuesday
(apps, tools, privacy/security, administer blogs, build following)
Cake Wednesday
(résumés, cover letters, scholarship searches, personal statements, time management, personal strategic plans)
Thoughtful Thursday
(Big Question research, mentor match, learning to teach)
Freedom Friday
(writing time, catch up on work, prep for weekend)
Of
course, we will continue our daily practices of writing in our journals
and continue making space for additional learning adventures along the
